MIND the GaP

As we continue to live in uncertain times we are seeing an increase in the need for extra support for individuals living with mental illness. We would like to thank you for your contribution through Mental Illness in Nowra District – Goals and Prevention (MIND the GaP) towards individuals in our community who need compassion.

MIND the Gap, based at the UOW Shoalhaven Campus, focuses on suicide prevention and community resilience by bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals and front line service providers (such as LifeLine South Coast) to address mental health issues for vulnerable groups.

In times of heightened stress, many health service providers are often working at capacity trying to support those struggling with mental illness. Significant calendar events such as the festive season and other notable celebratory days can amplify financial, familial and social stresses and your donations through MIND the GaP can really help provide vital services to support those in our community who need it most.
