There are several ways you can make a gift to the University of Wollongong, whether through regular giving each month, a transformational gift, a gift in your Will, as a corporate partner or staff member.

As a regular donor, you join a vast community of likeminded people who understand the importance and impact of collective giving. Our regular supporters are invaluable, as they provide us with a reliable revenue stream throughout the year.
A regular gift also allows you, the donor, to work your philanthropic contributions into your budget, meaning it is easier for you to contribute a larger amount across the year. Once you set up a regular gift there is no further effort required to sustain or make your gifts. And don’t forget all gifts made in Australia over $2 are 100 per cent tax deductible.

Make a one off donation to a specific program or fund or support an area of your interest.
A gift in your will is often the most significant gift a person ever makes. Whatever you want to achieve – supporting higher education or research, supporting your department or faculty – your bequest is an opportunity to shape a positive future.
When you are considering leaving a gift in your will to UOW, let your areas of interest and experiences assist in deciding how your gift will support the next generation of researchers, students and thought leaders.
Unrestricted gifts offer the University the greatest flexibility to allocate your gift carefully to the area of greatest need. However, many of our alumni and community members have a strong link with an area of the University or a particular field of research they would like to support. If you are planning your gift to support a particular area, we are happy to discuss this with you and provide suggested wording for your will to discuss with your legal advisors.

Transformational gifts provide a permanent endowment, or direct funds, for a major project or specific area. By making a transformational gift you will have the opportunity to see your philanthropy in action.
A wonderful example of this was a remarkable $7 million gift from major donors, enabling the University to build the Early Start Discovery Space, Australia’s only hands on children’s discovery space, housed with leading teaching and research in the early years of life. This gift will continue to transform the lives of children and their families for many years to come.
